Hi, I’m Lisa, a dedicated and experienced Childminder and mum of three children. After having my first child 16 years ago, I became interested in learning more about raising children, with a view to turning this interest into a career. I decided to go back to education in 2010 while still working in insurance and obtained a FETAC Level 5 Childcare Diploma with the  Irish Preschool and Play Association in Dublin in 2011, the course included a 6 month practical training in a local creche. I continued working part-time for a busy office while gaining more valuable experience minding friends’ children together with my own in my free time. When I moved from Dublin to Gorey in 2021 with my family, I took this opportunity to start working exclusively as a childminder. I’ve minded many children in my home since and have excellent references. I’ve also had the opportunity to work in a creche since September 2023, where I honed my skills in creating engaging activities, promoting social development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of each child.
I understand the importance of providing a loving and nurturing environment for the children in my care. My goal is to offer a warm and supportive atmosphere where children can learn, relax and have fun. I love letting children explore their interests and present varied activities such as painting, gardening, reading and outdoor play. I have many different toys and games and a small enclosed backyard with a trampoline. I also offer snacks and meals.

As a working parent of three children with little family support, I understand how important reliable and flexible childcare is. That’s why I offer a home from home childminding service tailored around parents needs, with flexible times and affordable conditions. I value one to one interactions in the early years so I mind a maximum of 2 children at a time, while also promoting the social aspect with visits to the playground and playgroups. I offer snacks and meals, school and creche collection, term only options and no charge for sick days or holidays. I require a minimum regular commitment of 10 hours/week.
